Sarinah Pedestrian Bridge is Friendly for People with Disability

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung emphasized that Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to realize a city that is friendly for people with disabilities.

One of the ongoing efforts is the revitalization of three pedestrian bridges (JPOs) to become disability-friendly facilities. These three JPOs are the Sarinah JPO, the Kebayoran Lama JPO, and the Senayan JPO.

"Hopefully Jakarta will become a city that is friendly to the disabled," he said, Wednesday (1/28).

Specifically for the Sarinah pedestrian bridge, Pramono confirmed that it will be equipped with lifts on both sides of the road. This facility will facilitate public access, especially for people with disabilities, to the integrated Transjakarta bus stops.

Pramono also confirmed that the pelican crossing facility will remain operational. This facility is intended to provide access options for the public.

"So don't need to worry because it still works," he stated.
